Five days from Aqaba gives this itinerary the room to breathe — enough time to move through Jordan’s most compelling destinations without rushing any of them. This Hajjat Tours program opens on the Red Sea, dives immediately into the desert wilderness of Wadi Rum, and then works its way north through the Byzantine heartland of Madaba and Mount Nebo, the ancient Nabataean wonder of Petra, the Dead Sea, and the living history of Amman and the Roman north. It is a route that covers Jordan’s full range of experiences and delivers them in a sequence that simply makes sense.
Day one arrives in Aqaba and transfers directly to Wadi Rum for a Bedouin desert night. Day two moves north through Madaba and Mount Nebo before arriving in Amman. Day three combines Ajloun Castle and the Roman city of Jerash with an afternoon at the Dead Sea. Day four takes a full run at Petra before continuing back to Aqaba. Day five is a final morning on the Red Sea before departure.
Hajjat Tours manages every detail — airport transfers, English-speaking drivers, Wi-Fi vehicles, all entrance fees, and flexible hotel options from 3 to 5 stars. This is one of the most efficiently structured Jordan itineraries in the collection — maximum depth, minimum wasted time.

4 Hours Before Flight Time
Your Jordan journey begins at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, where Hajjat Tours’ representative will meet and assist you through arrivals before transferring you south to Wadi Rum. Within an hour of landing, you are in one of the most extraordinary desert landscapes on earth — a UNESCO World Heritage protected wilderness of vast red sand plains, towering sandstone massifs, and ancient rock inscriptions. Arriving in the late afternoon, you’ll settle into your Bedouin camp for a traditional dinner beneath a sky that earns its own description. Overnight in Wadi Rum.
The morning belongs to the desert — absorb the stillness of Wadi Rum before the road heads north through the Wadi Araba rift valley toward central Jordan.
The first stop is Madaba, Jordan’s City of Mosaics. The 6th-century Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land at the Church of Saint George is one of the most remarkable objects in the country — a floor-level cartographic masterpiece in coloured stone, with Jerusalem at its centre and the ancient world spread out around it in extraordinary detail. Continue to Mount Nebo, the biblical hilltop where Moses is believed to have seen the Promised Land before his death, with sweeping views across the Jordan Valley toward the Dead Sea and beyond.
From Mount Nebo, the road continues north to Amman, Jordan’s capital city, where the evening is yours to explore. Overnight in Amman.
After breakfast, head north to Ajloun — the 12th-century castle of Qal’at Ar-Rabad, built by a general of Saladin on a forested hilltop with commanding views over the Jordan Valley. One of the finest examples of early Islamic military architecture in the Levant, Ajloun is a site that rewards a focused visit. Continue to Jerash — one of the most complete and best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the world, with its Oval Plaza, colonnaded Cardo Maximus, Temple of Artemis, and two well-preserved ancient theatres creating an archaeological landscape of remarkable completeness.
In the afternoon, head to the Dead Sea — the lowest point on Earth at 430 metres below sea level. Float effortlessly in the hypersaline waters, apply the famous mineral-rich mud, and unwind at your resort as the hills of the West Bank catch the evening light. Overnight at the Dead Sea.
After breakfast, the day heads south to Petra — one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enter through the Siq, the narrow sandstone canyon that opens after more than a kilometre to the breathtaking reveal of the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Beyond the Treasury, the ancient Nabataean city unfolds in every direction — tombs carved into cliff faces, a colonnaded street, a Roman-era theatre, and the vast open monuments that make Petra one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites on earth.
In the late afternoon, continue south to Aqaba on the Red Sea for a final overnight — a gentle, coastal ending to a full and rewarding day. Overnight in Aqaba.
A final morning at leisure in Aqaba — the Red Sea, the waterfront, a long breakfast, or simply the quiet pleasure of a journey well made. Hajjat Tours will arrange your transfer to King Hussein International Airport for departure.
